Wait… Who is HL?

Humberto Lopes (HL) is more than just the founder of HL Safari Tours — he’s a visionary with a lifelong passion for animals and a deep commitment to conservation. As a successful real estate investor, HL has spent 40+ years building an empire, but his love for wildlife has always been at the heart of who he is.

From an early age, HL was fascinated by the beauty and diversity of the animal kingdom. This passion led him to begin collecting exotic animals for a private sanctuary on his 20-acre property. Initially, HL’s collection was shared only with close friends and family, who marveled at the rare and endangered species he cared for and the knowledge they gained.

Over time, HL’s personal passion evolved into a mission:

To Educate and Inspire others to Appreciate & Respect Animals

This vision became HL Safari Tours, a place where visitors of all ages can experience wildlife up close and develop a deeper connection with nature.
